1. Applications handled by the school, the Principal/Head Teacher should fill out the form correction or ‘Query Circular Form’ specifying the mistake made in the name and title the signature should be written.
2. Applications handled by the parent/candidate; fill out the name correction form available on the website of the Examinations Council.
3. Pay the name adjustment fee of sh. 35,000/= (for one certificate) through banks NMB, CRDB and NBC or mobile networks (M-Pesa and Tigo Pesa) using ‘Control number’ to be issued by NECTA.
4. Submit the NECTA application form attaching the wrong certificate/result document name and payment receipt.

After the correction is done, the Results Slip or a new certificate with the correction will be sent to the principal or to the candidate (if not a student). A candidate who is found to be ineligible for name correction, will be notified by letter that the correction was not made due to ineligibility.
